I patterned a 1914 shirtwaist based on a catalog photo. I made a mock-up and made some corrections. One challenge of this project was that none of the insides could be serged. It had to be alternatives, so I chose Hong Kong finishes using seam binding. To keep the waist cinched, elastic was used.
