UNC School of the Arts- Millinery - Pillbox hat
In millinery, we learned the basics of patterning hats and constructing them with our first project, the pillbox hat. My challenge in this was making sure that I stayed within one stripe of the plaid in the band.

UNC School of the Arts- Millinery - Pulled Hat
In millinery, we learned how to pull wool. I decided to do a pulled hat based on some photos of hats I found from the 70s. The crown is sized, but the brim is not.

The designer requested that the helmet be covered in a different fabric than the helmet had been pulled with. The original cover also did not fit as well. I draped a covering on the helmet, made a mock up and then applied the corrections to the final cover.
